Ways You Can Support Project My Time Project My Time offers a wide range of investment opportunities. We are happy to work with you to tailor your contribution to match your interests and resources with our needs. You can make a financial contribution to: - Support the infrastructure: You can help us maintain computer equipment, or ensure new computers have all the needed technology updates and learning software. You can underwrite the cost of a site coordinator, or pay for security, custodial staff and other support personnel to keep schools open longer and on weekends.
- Strengthen the data management system: You can support the expansion of the data management system so that providers can track the success of the young people in their programs.
- Improve communications: With your help, we can reach out to more children and youth by adding interactive features to the Project My Time website and expanding a marketing campaign that includes public service announcements, ads, and reports.
- Support training: You can enhance program quality by underwriting staff training.
- Adopt a program: Our programs include a wide range of activities that can ignite young people’s interests. Want to support acting? Boxing? Art? Music? Dance? We’ll match you with a provider. You can adopt a grade and support its math programming or computer access. You can become a producer and underwrite an arts performance.
- Support a performance: You can produce a show—underwrite the costs of additional staff costs, scenery, costumes, music, and a performance location for one of our performing arts programs.
You can provide in-kind support: - Donate materials: Does your business sell art supplies, school supplies, or sports gear? Can you provide snacks? You can provide equipment, books, CDs, or Project My Time-branded items for program participants.
- Donate services: Your computer technician can help us maintain and update our program computers.
- Mentor or volunteer: You and your staff can provide individual attention through mentoring or volunteering at a school or with a class. We will provide an orientation so your staff feels comfortable in this new role.
- Help celebrate our successes: Print students’ writing and host a party for the authors. Host a performance by young people at the end of a semester, or a family fun night.
- Give children a taste of the business world: Invite children to tour your office.
- Support program convenings: You can offer meeting space and refreshments for program providers to meet with parents, students and volunteers.
