Our Partners

Project My Time was developed through a broad partnership of DC government, school, and business leaders, private funders, parents and the community to ensure that the initiative addresses the needs of DC children. Some of those partners play a key role in implementing Project My Time. All of them will continue to provide important guidance as we move forward. Partners with significant roles include:

  • The DC Children and Youth Investment Trust is the official grantee and is responsible for managing the project.
  • The Mayor’s office provides important support for after-school programs and plays an important role in developing the database across city agencies.
  • The DC Public Schools hosts many program sites and is deeply involved in aligning school day and after-school curriculum. The school system is the main partner in developing the database to coordinate services for children.
  • Fannie Mae Foundation provides important support for after-school programs with funding and technical assistance programs. It also helps disseminate information to parents, schools and providers through its Getting Connected website and state-of-the-art Knowledgeplex system.
  • The DC Department of Parks and Recreation hosts program sites and provides facilities for many activities.
  • DC Public Libraries provide afterschool and summer programs across the city, with engaging reading programs, spoken word workshops and literacy support.
  • The State Education Office The SEO enhances educational services and opportunities to meet the life-long learning needs of all District residents. It manages some of the District’s data collection requirements for the US Dept. of Eudcation, and administers the USDA programs that provide breakfast, lunch and snacks to OST programs.
  • Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers and its members provide guidance and resources for the project.
  • DC ACT (DC Action for Children) provides important leadership on youth policy in DC.
  • DC Alliance for Youth Advocates provides youth development expertise.
